DESCRIPTION:1 Gold Star IVLP from Iraq will be coming to make professional connections in San Diego exploring the following specific objectives for the project outlined by the Department of State: explore best practices in providing psycho-social support and services for traumatized children; understand efforts to advocate and treat homelessness for youth and senior citizens; illustrate support services for children and families with disabilities; further strengthen the ties and capacities of IVLP alumni\, recognize the contributions of the Global Ties U.S. community\, and examine the direct impact of the IVLP on participants and their home countries in support of U.S. policy priorities.
