Conservation and Biodiversity Protection

6 visitors from the People’s Republic of China will be coming to make professional connections in San Diego exploring the following specific objectives for the project outlined by the Department of State:
· Examine the local, state, and federal park and protected area management systems; trends in biodiver-sity conservation and wildlife management; and sustainable tourism standards and practices;
· Illustrate the range of services, infrastructure, concessions, and tourist information in parks and at nat-ural attractions and discuss how communities provide input for planning for tourism development; and
· Foster collaboration among field experts and local communities on the roles of different levels of gov-ernment and the private sector in biodiversity preservation, parks and protected areas management, and tourism facility development.
