In light of last night’s presidential advisory and general encouragement to engage in social distancing practices in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the reception tonight honoring Yasmin al Qadhi, one of the 2020 International Women of Courage awardees.
We are continuing to monitor recommendations from the CDC, the U.S Department of State and San Diego County Health Authority.
We apologize for the delay in announcing this, but we were so very hopeful that this private small reception could still happen. Unfortunately, at this time in our country and in our world, the health and safety of our community must take precedence. We know that our community will understand the importance of this decision in postponing this event while we increase social distancing.
