Are you a high-school baseball athlete with exceptional community engagement and a stellar academic record? Are you interested in traveling to Japan? Join us!
The San Diego Diplomacy Council (SDDC) is dedicated to fostering inclusive professional, cultural, and educational experiences that promote global collaboration. Our program aims to empower underrepresented high school baseball players through cultural exchange, youth empowerment, and leadership development.
In Japan, baseball serves as a powerful medium for community engagement, cultural identity, and social mobility, especially within underrepresented communities. More than just a sport, baseball in Japan reflects the nation’s history, culture, and spirit. Since its introduction during the Meiji Era, the sport has mirrored Japan’s societal shifts and global interactions.
Our team has experience administering successful outbound sports diplomacy exchanges; see details on our most recent exchange Sports for a Social Change in Romania!
