Chris has over thirty years of executive leadership experience with nonprofit organizations in the United States and abroad. As the child of a U.S. Foreign Service diplomat, he lived for extended periods in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, including formative years in Germany, Egypt, Cyprus, the Philippines, and Iran. Throughout his career, Chris led development and advancement teams at the University of San Diego, San Diego State University, UC Irvine, INSEAD, and the National Foundation of the BSA. His expertise covers all aspects of nonprofit executive leadership, including establishing a public-private partnership to operate the City of Seattle’s public golf courses. Read more
Chris is a Founding Member and Past Chair of the Chula Vista Community Foundation (CVCF), and Former Chair of the City of Chula Vista’s Measure P Committee. He also serves on the boards of Child Development Associates (CDA.org) and Write Out Loud San Diego (writeoutloudsd.com). He holds two degrees from the University of San Diego: a B.A. in Political Science/International Relations and an M.B.A. in Management. Chris and his wife, Dawn, an accomplished nonprofit professional in her own right, have lived in Chula Vista since 1998.
