7 visitors from Serbia will be coming to make professional connections in San Diego exploring the following specific objectives for the project outlined by the Department of State:

• Examine the legal framework and policymaking efforts in the U.S. for combating trafficking in persons
• Explore best practices in the roles of law enforcement, prosecution and judges in combating trafficking in persons
• Examine strategies and programs for identifying and assisting victims of trafficking in persons and preventing future victims
• Identify effective interaction and cooperation on TIP cases among law enforcement, prosecutors and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as well as among international, federal, state and local entities
• Review the role and work of interagency task forces
