10 visitors from various countries in Africa will be coming to make professional connections in San Diego exploring the following specific objectives for the project outlined by the Department of State:

• Approaches to celebrating diversity;
• Promoting inclusive public attitudes;
• Addressing sensitive issues by working across institutional lines and expanding collaborative networks; and
• Defending the rights of religious and ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTI community, refugees, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable populations.
