10 visitors from Central, East, West, and Northwest Africa will be coming to San Diego to provide an overview of U.S. Energy Policy: the All of the Above approach; examine policies and incentives that encourage the development of renewable energy and conservation measures to meet energy demands; discuss international cooperative efforts to develop and expand the availability of diverse traditional and alternative sources of energy; assess a variety of alternative sources of energy generation and storage; explore environmental protection methods used to manage and protect freshwater supply for human consumption, agriculture, energy production, and domestic and industrial uses; and discuss user rights, cross-border resource challenges, and conflict resolution strategies employed to resolve resource allocation and conservation issues.
