International Visitor Leadership Program Delegates Meet with San Diego Police Chief Shelly Zimmerman

December 20, 2016 Leave a Comment

This month Chief Zimmerman joined other female policy officers from her force to meet with our delegation of female International Visitor Leadership Program participants from Europe who also work on issues of peace and security. The delegates and our San Diego officers exchanged perspectives, discussed common challenges, and shared best practices. The nine delegates from across Europe also visited Las Colinas Detention Facility, met with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and toured the U.S.-Mexico Border among other meetings.
