Naw K’nyaw Paw’s Interview with KUSI News

March 18, 2019 Leave a Comment

Last week, we hosted Naw K’nyaw Paw, one of the 2019 Secretary of State International Women of Courage Awardees. Naw K’nyaw Paw is a human rights activist from Burma who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and courage. Her organisation was the first, and one of the few, in Burma to publicly condemn the military-led violence against the Rohingya people. During her visit she met with local professional counterparts, elected officials, schools and community members to share experiences, ideas on how to empower best women in Burma and in the US. ( See our previous news post for more information about her visit in San Diego).

Naw K’nyaw Paw was featured in an interview with KUSI news to talk about her experience in San Diego, her organization, and what it was like receiving the International Woman of Courage award. You can watch her interview at: https://www.kusi.com/2019-international-woman-of-courage-awardee/
