In light of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the San Diego Diplomacy Council is closely following recommendations from the CDC, the U.S Department of State and San Diego County Health Authority. Accordingly, it has been decided that all our exchange programs and events will be on pause from March 16th – May 10th .
Here are some specifics:
- We will pause all our exchange programs that involve travel to and from countries with heightened U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Alert Level 2 (Practice Enhanced Precautions) and Warning Level 3 (Avoid Nonessential Travel) or heightened State Department COVID-19 related Travel Advisory Levels 3 (Reconsider Travel) and 4 (Do Not Travel).
- All our events and dinner hospitality are cancelled
- SDDC staff and board of directors are planning for various contingency plan based on the evolution of the situation
- We will communicate more details with all our partners, professional resources, dinner hosts, and members.
