Calling all high school students interested in cross-cultural exchanges and international negotiations! The San Diego Diplomacy Council is pleased to announce a new cross-Atlantic partnership with PATHWAYS Institute for Negotiation Education. Together we are excited to offer a unique series of virtual joint learning and exchange workshops for high school students in San Diego (USA) and Sha’ar Hanegev (Israel), as part of the cities’ sister-city relationship. The workshop series will take place on February 3,10 & 17 from 8 – 9:30 am PT.

In total, 12 motivated students engaged or interested in Model United Nations programs in San Diego will be selected to meet virtually with 12 peers from Sha’ar Hanegev for a dynamic series of 3 interactive 90-minute virtual workshops facilitated by PATHWAYS.

Through a variety of role plays, simulations, and learning games, students will discover a problem-solving model for negotiation based on methodology developed at the Harvard Negotiation Project, while exchanging and developing relationships with their international counterparts. Together, students will explore how a structured, creative approach to negotiation can serve them in their roles as MUN delegates, and in their personal and professional lives beyond.

Participants selected for this program will also be invited to take part in the 2nd annual hybrid in-person / virtual T&T MUN, to be held April 17, where they can reconnect and apply their new skills.
