As part of our E-Culinary Diplomacy Series, the San Diego Diplomacy Council is delighted to offer a virtual cooking class on Friday, October 30 from 5:00-6:30 PM, in celebration of Filipino American History Month. Filipino chef and business owner Tress Balch will lead you in preparing two easy-to-make, yet delicious dishes that are the hallmarks of Filipino cuisine: Chicken Adobo and Lumpia Shanghai.
Opening remarks will be given by San Diego-based Honorary Consul of the Philippines, Audie de Castro. He will share his insight into the richness and diversity of Filipino food and culture.
Tress Balch is the owner of Pyramid Bistro, a restaurant and commercial kitchen located inside of the Landmark Pyramid on Miramar Road.
