Thank – Remember – Share – The Story of Our Alumni

September 24, 2018 Leave a Comment

Meet Melissa Dávila, an alumni of the International Visitor Leadership Program.

Our vision is to effectively connect and empower local and global leaders to create a more peaceful, prosperous and stable world. Melissa’s story reminds us of the impact of our mission. She was able to make network connections within her profession which motivated her to collaborate on inventions and innovations. Melissa learned that community involvement with STEAM education allows for scholarly inspiration at a young age. Her experience helped to develop her knowledge of STEAM education and inspire her to become a mentor, a coach, and a friendly face for her students.

Read about her journey here!

“We visited 3 beautiful cities: San Diego, Boise, and Houston. Each city had its own magic but overall we discovered that no matter where you are, your community is the thing that matters the most in order to run a successful educational program. Also, that no matter where you teach, being a real educator is transforming yourself into a mentor, a coach, but most importantly a familiar face, someone your students can really trust.”
