8 visitors will be coming from Turkey to make professional connections in San Diego exploring the following:

• Develop deeper understanding of CVE policies and approaches at all levels of the U.S. government and law enforcement in enhancing the capacity of local community partners to prevent radicalization
• Highlight the importance of public-private sector collaboration and trust-building, particularly between local communities and law enforcement, in tackling the problem of violent extremism
• Examine effective, community-level CVE programs and initiatives designed to engage populations at risk for radicalization, particularly youth, and strategic efforts to counter radical messaging
• Explore key security challenges and human rights considerations in border regions
