9 delegates from multiple countries will be coming to make professional connections in San Diego introducing the role of federal, state, and municipal government agencies and non-governmental organizations responsible for developing and implementing national and grassroots public health programs for urban and rural populations. They will explore and discuss best practices for public health preparedness and response, health education, and public awareness strategies in health, safety, and illness prevention. The visitors will be examining various health education and disease prevention programs, research and development, and the treatment and care of infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Ebola, and tuberculosis. They will also review U.S. policies on HIV/AIDS, Ebola, and malaria, underscoring the U.S. commitment to assist other countries in combating infectious diseases.
