First “Talk-About” of 2017 – Post- Castro Cuba: Fresh Impressions from the Field

About

Our ‘Talk About’ Series provides an opportunity for community members to get together and share ideas on important international topics. Professor Richard E. Feinberg will discuss his most recent impressions of the emergence of an independent private sector, progress in foreign investment, and the tourism boom. He will also peer into the future to offer scenarios for a post-Castro Cuba and what the United States can do to promote a more prosperous neighbor.

 

Speaker

Professor Feinberg is the author of the new best-seller “Open for Business: Building the new Cuban Economy.” He will have just returned from a week in Havana where he was privileged to have been invited to present an to an open forum the findings from his recent paper, “Tourism in Cuba: Riding the Wave Toward Sustainable Prosperity.”
