We are thrilled to announce the San Diego Diplomacy Council’s nomination of the San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club’s
Peacemaker of the Year Award!
The San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club, part of Rotary International, is a group of individuals from local businesses, professions and civic organizations who use their passion, energy and intelligence to work on sustainable projects in communities here in San Diego and around the world. The club, established in 1990, currently has around 100 members and meets on Wednesday mornings from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the University Club Atop Symphony Towers.
Every February, during Rotary Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution Month, the San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club honors someone in the community with the Peacemaker of the Year Award. This recognition to given to an individual (or organization) who has been engaged in “peace building” through promoting peace, tolerance, understanding and conflict resolution, actions consistent with Rotary’s Mission Statement of helping to build goodwill and peace in the world.
This year, San Diego Diplomacy Council was nominated for this prestigious award by Rotary member Judith Bambace. “I am honored to nominate San Diego Diplomacy Council as our club’s 2020 Peacemaker of the Year. For the past 40 years, San Diego Diplomacy Council has been connecting people and nations in an effort to build trust, dialogue and collaboration, and to promote global prosperity and peace. I have personally participated in San Diego Diplomacy Council’s programs for many years, and can attest to the fact that this organization is truly improving the prospect of peace and prosperity for our citizens and those around the globe.”
The San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club will announce the winner of the 2020 Peacemaker of the Year award at its club meeting on February 26.
