REFLECTIONS FROM OUR PAST CHAIR AND VOLUNTEER

July 22, 2019 Leave a Comment

VOICES is a monthly series highlighting direct reflections from participants, members and volunteers on our exchange programs to celebrate SDDC’s 40th anniversary in 2019! Established in 1979 as the International Hospitality Council of San Diego, when we began as an organization staffed by volunteers. Doris Ellsworth served as president from 1982-1984 of the International Visitors Council. Together with Alice Silverberg, Dottie Harmsen, and Lois Baker, the first part-time employee, they established strong programming and our Council became known as a prominent international organization in the San Diego community.
